Software and system reliability is the probability of failure-free software and system operation for a specified period of time in a specified environment. Reliability is also an important factor affecting software and system dependence. Many life-critical systems being required to operate without a system failure for a given period of time, such examples as nuclear, aerospace, spacecraft and high-speed trains and other such systems, need the development of reliability.

This symposium provides scientists and engineers from both industry and academia a platform to present their ongoing work, relate their research outcomes and experiences, and discuss the best and most efficient techniques for the development of reliable, secure, and trustworthy systems. It also represents an excellent opportunity for the academic community to become more aware of subject areas critical to the software industry as practitioners bring their needs to the table. The 2018 ISSSR will be held from June 21 to 22, 2018 in Chengdu sponsored by University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.
